Chinese New Year Specialised Workshops


This Chinese New Year we will be offering three different specialised workshops: Storytelling, Musical Theatre, and Shakespeare for Teens. These immersive experiences give children an opportunity to delve into a specific performance skill with specialists from that field.

Whether you are new to drama, or you are an experienced performer, our holiday programmes offer a wonderful experience and a fun boost of creativity and confidence for everyone involved!

Storytelling (ages 5 to 7)

ABOUT STORYTELLING

Open a storybook and step into the pages as we explore different worlds and interact with lots of characters. Engage in drama activities based on storytelling and fall in love with these classic tales! Each workshop will feature different tales and new drama games so children can join us for one or both days!

ABOUT MUSICAL THEATRE

Our Musical Theatre workshops are a great way for those interested in singing, dancing and acting to hone their skills to become triple-threat performers. In this one-off workshop, we will focus on ensemble numbers from exciting West End and Broadway musicals.

ABOUT SHAKESPEARE UNLOCKING SET TEXTS

This workshop is all about bringing Shakespeare’s classic texts to life! Designed for students with or without Shakespeare experience, we will delve into the text, finding the beauty and cleverness in his language. For those studying Shakespeare at school, this will be a fun way to engage with well-known scenes through performance.

ABOUT PLAY IN A DAY

Up for a challenge? Our members work on casting the play, rehearsals, costumes, props and set, to perform their very own rendition of The Wizard of Oz, all in one day!
